SUMMER CAMP Marlboro, Vermont (May 31 - June 6, 2009)
The BIG Summer Camp takes place on the 250-acre campus of Marlboro College, with an on-site pond for our dogs' swimming pleasure. Summer Camp offers twice as many activities as our other Camps. You'll find a HUGE variety of activities, some offered only at this Camp - Herding, Hunting, Breed Handling, Teaching Obedience Classes Positively, Tellington Touch and a special ceremony to honor the pets we have lost. It's also the best Camp to come to if competition obedience is a big interest of yours. There are 40-50 activities per day. You can do it all or just sit around, kiss your dog and eat bonbons. 200 people.
Accommodations are dorms (single, double and triple rooms) or woodsy cabins (with 4 single rooms each), all with shared baths, or Marlboro North, a former inn 1.5 miles away, with 7 double rooms all with private baths. (Same on-site fee.) All have communal refrigerators. If you want more comfort, privacy, keys and air conditioning, several area dog-friendly motels listed in our flyer welcome us and our dogs. We have two doggie dens for crating off-site dogs while you're on campus. www.marlboro.edu
FALL CAMPS Stowe, Vermont (Sept. 6-12 & Sept. 13-19, 2009)
Our Stowe Camps take place at the Mountaineer Inn, an upscale facility set on 8 grassy and shaded acres bordered by a brook. It's a relaxing setting where our very own Taffy Morgan serves home-cooked food second to none. These camps offer 25-30 activities daily. For dogs who love to swim, we've arranged for the use of a nearby pond. There's a fabulous, easy 5-mile walking path, gondola rides for you and your dog, great shopping, horseback riding and tourist attractions like Ben & Jerry's in the area. Off-site accommodations, available in our flyer which we will mail to you upon request, welcome us and our dogs and provide a chance to get away from the hubbub of being on site. 105 people. www.stowemountaineerinn.com
